Track record, volume, investors, secondary market, guarantees and regulation weigh 15% each; transparency and cash drag weigh 5% each.
Which European crowdlending platforms are regulated under ECSP?
Platforms holding the European Crowdfunding Service Provider (ECSP) licence are flagged with the ECSP status on their profile, and the platform list has a dedicated ECSP-only filter. Baltic P2P marketplaces operating under national investment-brokerage regimes are shown with their actual national status instead.
What yields can investors realistically expect in European crowdlending?
Indicative yields on the platforms tracked by Crowdscope typically range from about 5% on renewable-energy and French real estate projects to 12-15% on Baltic consumer-loan marketplaces. Net returns are lower once defaults, recovery delays and cash drag are taken into account, which is why Crowdscope publishes a default rate and a cash-drag rating per platform.
Is a secondary market important when choosing a platform?
Yes. A secondary market is the only way to exit a loan before maturity, so it carries 15% of the Crowdscope score. Liquidity still depends on demand: in a stressed market, secondary listings can sit unsold or require a discount.
Does Crowdscope earn money from the platforms it rates?
Crowdscope uses referral links on some platforms, disclosed on the bonus page. Referral relationships never influence a score: scores are computed from the published criteria only, and platforms cannot pay to change them.
